Top Ten Books That Intimidate You
1. A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1) by George R.R. Martin - There's obviously quite a bit of hype surrounding this series, but honestly I get iffy with it because of how insanely long it is, plus I heard it takes the author like three years at a time to publish a new one.
2. Requiem by Lauren Oliver (Delirium #3) - I'm scared of the open ending everyone is saying there is! Very, very frightened.
3. Insurgent by Veronica Roth (Divergent #2) - I can't believe I still haven't read this yet after adoring the first. I'm nervous it won't be as good, I guess.
4. Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles (Perfect Chemistry #3) - I loved the first two in this series, but I've seen a lot of negative reviews for this one, so I'm a bit hesitant.
5. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson - I've almost started this so many times that now it's hard to break the pattern.
6. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte - Honestly, does this need an explanation? I guess I'm just tired of reading about references to this novel and having no idea what people are talking about.
7. Crank by Ellen Hopkins - This could be for any of her books, really. I know she's a popular author, but I've always hated reading in verse. Still, I'd like to try something by her someday.
8. The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - I have no idea why I avoid this. I know it was just made into a movie.
9. Need by Carrie Jones - Mostly I'm just afraid of not liking this because I really want to.
10. Icons by Margaret Stohl - Honestly, I want to read this, but since I absolutely hated Beautiful Creatures, I just can't see myself loving it.
