Top Ten Tuesday is hosted at The Broke and the Bookish, and this week the topic is:

Top Ten Favorite Characters in X genre.

I can't pick between dystopian and fantasy, so I'm doing five of each. I'll start with fantasy.

1. Eliza from The Girl Of Fire and Thorns by Rar Carson - I loved how she had some insecurities in the beginning of the book, but her character growth throughout is very apparent, especially at the end.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1)

2. Grimalkin from the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa - He's always so cryptic, and always making me laugh.

3. Po from Graceling by Kristin Cashore - He's so sweet and understands Katsa so well.

Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)

4. The Darkling from Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo - He played with my emotions so much while reading, and I have mixed feelings about him in the story, but he has to be one of the most amazingly mysterious characters.

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1)

5. Annina from The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clark - She's quick and smart and actually pretty easy to connect to considering she's a pirate and everything.

The Assassin's Curse (The Assassin's Curse, #1)

Moving onto dystopia....

6. Eva from The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna - She could have so easily been a weak heroine given her circumstances, but she was so strong and I loved her for it.

The Lost Girl

7. Eva from What's Left Of Me by Kat Zhang - It has to be hard being an unheard voice in someone else's head. But her relationship with her sister touched me, and she is awesome.

What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1)

8. Cinder from Cinder by Marissa Meyer - One of the best and most creative fairy tale/dystopia retellings ever made, its heroine is just one of the book's many strong traits to brag about.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1)

9. Rhine from Wither by Lauren DeStefano - She continues to be in horrible situations throughout the series, yet she has a good head on her shoulders.

Wither (The Chemical Garden, #1)

10. Juliette from Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi - I know she comes across as a bit whiny and angsty a lot of the time, but if you really consider all she's had to go through, she kind of has the right. I still really love her and will be cheering for her to grow stronger as she goes through life.

 Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)
