This meme is hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. So, um, it's actually Wednesday here, but I was without internet yesterday. So the Tuesday post is going up today. Yep. This week, the topic is:
Top Ten Auto-buy authors.
1. Stephenie Meyer - Twilight - Even though I'm not as into the Twilight Saga as I used to be, there's still something about her writing and her characters that I love. I will always buy whatever she writes (hopefully a sequel to The Host soon).
2. John Green - The Fault In Our Stars - Admittedly, I actually only own one of his books, but have read three. I will definitely purchase anything new he puts out, though. He's an amazing writer.
3. Maria V. Snyder - Poison Study - I want to steal her imagination, seriously. One of the most creative writers ever.
4. Tahereh Mafi - Shatter Me - She has proven to me that she's got a way with words, and I can't wait to buy the last book in her series and see what she does next.
5. Leigh Bardugo - Shadow and Bone - Another very creative author, her fantasy series is one of the best.
6. Sangu Mandanna - The Lost Girl - Her debut blew me away, and I would love to read more of her amazing stories.
7. Lauren DeStefano - Wither - I'm a big fan of her Chemical Garden series, and she just announced the start of a new one!
8. Jennifer Donnelly - Revolution - She writes the most beautiful historical fiction novels, a genre that I am usually pretty wary of.
9. Bethany Griffin - The Masque Of The Red Death - Another beautifully written series I am awaiting the sequel to.
10. Veronica Rossi - Under The Never Sky - I love her world-building and the way I care for her characters even though she writes third person.
