Stacking the Shelves
This meme is hosted over at Tynga's Reviews. This week, I got:
Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout (e-book) - I loved the Lux serise, so I'm dying to read this.
Black City by Elizabeth Richards (library) - Heard very mixed things about this, but it looks cool.
Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris - Unraveling was awesome. That is all.
Parallel by Lauren Miller (library) - Kind of sounds like Pivot Point, so I'm game.
Icons by Margaret Stohl (library) - I hated Beautiful Creatures, but maybe this is better?
Towering by Alex Flinn (library) - Beautiful cover.

Thanks! I've read all of Alex Flinn's other retellings and they've all been really cute.

It looks sooooo good. :)
DeleteBlack City has been on my shelf for a while now and I really would like to read it! Icons also looks really interesting. Enjoy all your new reading this week =D
ReplyDeleteEmily @ Falling For YA
I hope they're both good - Black City looks better to me, though. :D
DeleteNice group of books. I haven't read any but Black City is somewhere on TBR mountain. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYeah, most books are lost somewhere in there, lol. ;)
DeleteI love Black City!!! Enjoy the strangeness (: Lovely haul!

Thanks! I went away for the weekend and brought my Nook, but I totally flaked out on bringing the charger, so I can't actually read it yet. *sigh* Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteA wonderful haul! I loved Obsession and I can't wait to read Black City & Icons.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Sharon – Obsession with Books
Glad to hear about Obsession! Heard all great things about it so far. Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteParallel has such a beautiful cover. I can't wait to read Towering.
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of interesting, with the girl staring out at you like that. Flinn does really cute re-tellings. :D
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but have seen them pop up in the blogosphere. I really didn't like Beautiful Creatures either, so am hesitant to try anything else by those two authors, so I look forward to seeing what you think of Icons. Hopefully it's better since only one author wrote it!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping so! You never know, you know? ;)
DeleteTowering was just an okay read for me, the best aspect, I thought, was the mystery. I loved Unbreakable (even more than the first book!) Awesome haul. :)
ReplyDeleteMost of Flinn's books have been just alright to me; my expectations aren't incredibly high for Towering. I'm happy to hear about Unbreakable, though. :D
DeleteOoh, Parallel, Icons and Towering all look fantastic! Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteHere are my newest additions.
Thank you!
DeleteI like hearing that Parallel is similar to Pivot Point, a book I adored-makes me even more eager to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that, too!
